Each morning in communities like Obeagu/Ugwuaji and Akpugo Nkanu, Enugu State, little children wake before sunrise. Some begin the long walk to school on dusty roads under the hot Enugu sun, often barefoot or with worn-out sandals. Many leave home without breakfast, carrying only hope in their hearts.

For a kindergarten or first-grade child, the journey can feel long and difficult. The heat, hunger, and poor road conditions make learning hard, yet these children still come with bright eyes and a desire to learn. They dream of reading their first words, writing their names, and one day becoming teachers, nurses, pastors, and leaders who will help lift their families out of poverty.

In an environment where life is difficult and resources are few, education becomes more than school—it becomes hope, dignity, and a future. Through AOG school ministry, we also seek to share the love of Christ, giving these children and their families true hope through their Savior, Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that both education and the Gospel will transform lives for generations to come.
